"D'Arvit Luxa!" I cursed under my breath. Of course, Luxa just had to tell me not to do while she did it. I looked around and saw Lexi with the bow, shooting it at the Serpent. I jumped back onto Aleta. "Go for thy monster's head!" I told her. We flew towards it's head, and while Lexi's arrow pierced it's left eye, I stabbed it's right.

"Its underside is weakest!" Artemis snapped. She flew in and slit its stomach open, killing it as its entrails spilled.

It flopped to the ground with a heavy thud. Lexi and I dismounted. "A bad sign," I muttered. I raised my head and voice. "Should we tell Vikus, sister?"

"Might as well," she said, trying to move her wrist which seemed to be broken, and her tail bone badly bruised. Oh, why did I do that? She thought.

I nodded. "Then let us fly. Be on the lookout for anything else like that," I ordered our bats and Lexi. I didn't have to tell Luxa because she already knew.

I groaned. "Why must you get hurt every time you battle with someone or something sister?" I ask wearily. "Why can't you just try to stay safer?"

I rolled my eyes. "Let us leave now!" I said, rising into the air on Aleta. "Artemis," I called. "Could you let Lexi ride you?"

Artemis nodded and lowered her flight pattern. "Ride you myself!" She announced. "You will need to jump. I swear on my last drops of light that I will catch you."

I sigh, and nod. I jumped, Artemis caught menjist like she said she would.

After a few minutes of flying Regalia was back in sight. I looked over at Lexi to see her expression. Would it be surprise? Or would she show any emotion?
